Maintenance and Care
The boards are treated with a food-safe finish of mineral oil and wax (beeswax or Walrus Oil), ensuring durability for everyday use. Includes care instructions to keep it going strong for years.
How to Maintain a Wood Cutting Board
1. Wash your cutting board by hand using liquid dish soap.
2. Wipe your clean cutting board dry, and let it finish by air-drying on its side. Sanitize your cutting board after prepping raw meat. Use either straight-up white vinegar or a solution of 2 teaspoons bleach in 1 gallon of water.
3. Oil your board (generally once a month) with food grade mineral oil or beeswax. DO NOT USE cooking oil for conditioning your cutting boards, this leads to rancidity.
4. Don’t soak a cutting board. Soaking can cause the board to warp. Don’t put wooden cutting boards in the dishwasher.
5. The excessive heat and harsh chemicals of the dish detergent will cause the wood to dry out, warp, and/ or crack.
6. Don’t use harsh or concentrated cleaners on your cutting board.
DO ENJOY YOUR BOARD!!!
